Women's Mushroom retreat in the mountains of Portugal

We are Coracao Medicina, a small organisation offering mushroom retreats in Portugal since 2019, working with a lot of love and reverence for the medicine & our participants. If you are looking for a professionally-led, affordable retreat offered by facilitators with years of experience facilitating ceremonies for 500+ participants, with a strong ethics for holistic care, personal attention and warmhearted vibes, you are in the right place !

Our women’s retreat inretreats will take place in a beautiful arts and permaculture project in the mountains of Portugal. The Serra da Estrela, or “star mountain” is home to some of Portugal’s most preserved nature and rural heritage, and we are happy to welcome you in this region full of starry skies, pure mountain water, forests, birds and bees !
This retreat has a maximum capacity of 10 women with an amazing team to care and support you, and enrich your stay with a rich offer of integrative activities.

Our weeklong group retreats are designed to give you plenty of preparation and integration support for our two mushroom ceremonies, which will take place in a beautiful nature spot overlooking a secluded valley.
With diverse practices offered such a breathwork, vocal connection, movement and creative practices, we are crafting this retreat with a lot of care and intention for our participants to spend a truly special week.

What is included ?

7 days of shared or private accommodation in a historic mountain home and permaculture project with a natural pool, hills to hike on and starry night skies.

One microdose circle to introduce the medicine, weave in the group’s collective energy and prepare for the ceremony.

2x full dose introspective ceremonies led by a team of four experienced facilitators in our tipi tent in the forest, with live music.

One on one consultation before the ceremony to bring personalised therapeutic support and individualised dosage recommendations.

Sharing circles and integration workshops after each ceremony to process the experiences and harness their transformative potential, with further individual support available when needed.

Varied daily mindfulness activities (breathwork, movement, vocal and creative practices, ) led by our facilitation team to help you ground and develop self awareness in preparation and integration for the mushroom work.

Delicious, home-cooked vegetarian buffet meals served twice a day by our host with local organic produce.

Optional excursion to nearby rivers for wild swims !

Plenty of personal attention from our team of 4 experienced facilitators with diverse backgrounds and skills.

Plenty of time off between the programme’s activities to wind down from our busy lives and relax, tune into yourself, enjoy the peaceful natural setting and make this week a regenerative stay.

Personalised guidance on preparation and integration via one on one consultations before and after the retreat and a group integration call, as well as a preparation and integration resource pack.
